Holidays

Wow, the past three weeks have just flown by.  The weather cleared up after the snow storm I mentioned in my last post, which was nice since my sister (Katie) was coming to visit me for three weeks over the Christmas holidays.  Katie arrived on the evening of the 16th, and we made it back to my flat in Jerusalem without any problems which was nice since all the public transportation was still not up and running fully.  I took some days off work while Katie was here so that we could spend some time together visiting places.  We have had a really enjoyable time.  Katie also said it was a good experience when I worked and she went out into Jerusalem on her own since it is the largest city she has visited...

Katie, myself, and two other volunteers when north just before Christmas.  Another volunteer who lives in Karmiel and went back to the U.S. for Christmas let us use her flat while we were in the north of the country...

Helen is the happiest person getting pushed off into the "abyss" - It is often amusing here in Israel how the English portion of signs seems to have come from google translate.  At Nimrod's fortress instead of the signs saying "danger, drop off" they said "danger, abyss"
