In Civilization Once Again

That was my first thought as I got the train from Gatwick Airport into London. That and rain, wonderful rain. Yes, it was raining, and since I did not have to go out in it, it was wonderful. I really miss rain living in Israel. Since I moved to Israel I can count the times it has actually rained on two hands. Now I am in England where it is beautifully wet and green!
OK, the rain might be explainable you might be thinking, but what was the civilization part about? While much of our technology is developed in Israel or by Israeli's, it doesn't tend to be widely available in Israel. The only thing they keep up to date on is military technology. Israel is more of a second world country as far as development goes.
