It is my birthday, and I started the day how? By getting up at 6:15AM quickly getting ready and walking Jerusalem Assembly to be there by 7AM. Today was the first official morning of our Young Adults Neighborhood Community Service group. We worked at cleaning up all kinds of rubbish in the Talpiot area of Jerusalem where our Congregation is located. It is crazy what all people just through to the ground and leave rather than walking twenty feet to put it in a rubbish bin. I even came across a garbage bag full of rubbish that had just been thrown behind some
cars. It was too far away from the bins (actually they are more
like skips) to have just fallen away, but close enough that it would have taken the person about 30 extra seconds to actually through the bag away. Of course this must have been months ago, because by now the bad was disintegrating, so I had to pick up everything that was in it...
