A Dull Day...

There are some days where it seems like I never stop moving.  There are some days that are just a steady pace with some time to just sit with my grandmother; and on occasions, I have days like today.  I had some things to do, but nothing extremely pressing, and I really didn't feel like doing much of anything.  The problem was, I didn't feel like doing nothing either.  So, I tried to come up with something to do while sitting beside my grandmother and watching a program on the Georgia Aquarium.

I tried working on the poncho I am crocheting, but the yarn got tangled and I didn't feel like untangling it to proceed.

I messed about on my computer for a while, but without a purpose I soon quit that.

I finally decided I should just go ahead and water the plants outside.  It needed done and I was running out of day.  Since I read a Farmer's Almanac article about how you shouldn't water plants at night due to root rot and the water drawing in slugs, I have been trying to avoid night watering.  That turned out to be just what I needed.   I took Muffin (my grandmother's dog) out with me, and we had some fun with her attacking the stream of water coming out of the hose.  She will run at the water like she is going to take a bite out of it, but once she gets her face wet she runs off, only to repeat the process.  The grass could also use some watering, so I sat on the ground for a while just spraying out over the grass and letting Muffin play.  It turned out to be just what I needed.
