Happy New Year!
We have just completed Rosh Hashanah, one of the four (civil, religious, agriculture, and trees) new years the Jews have. Rosh Hashanah is the religious new year, co-ensiding with the Biblical Feast of Tabernacles, and the only majorly celebrated new year. According to Jewish tradition, it was on Rosh Hashanah that God created the earth, 5774 years ago now. It is also the tradition that when the Messiah comes to rule Jerusalem, He will arrive on Rosh Hashanah. Sadly, most of the Jewish world is still looking for the first coming of the Messiah. They do not realize that He had to come first to deal with sin before He could come as the conquering King and rule the world.
