Thankful for the little things

I was reminded again today how easy it is to forget to be thankful for the little things in life.  After the work day ended I was headed to the bus stop with my shopping, when I saw my bus pull up to the intersection in front of me.  Now when I leave home it is not difficult to get a bus.  Unless a bus breaks down they run pretty regularly (for Israel that is), so I can guess within 10 minutes when a bus is going to come.  Getting a bus from Jerusalem center is a different story however.  Do to crazy traffic, especially as the buses pass the Shuk (marketplace), the buses can be anywhere from one right after another to 45 minutes between them.  This means I really did not want to miss the bus that I saw, the problem was, I was still about two blocks away from the bus stop.  As soon as I crossed the intersection I took off running with a prayer to help me make the bus.  Now, I am not a runner in the best of circumstances.  I swim or bike, I do not run but praise God, the traffic lights were in my favor and I made it to the bus stop just as the bus pulled up.
