This weekend some friends and I got together to watch the movie Exodus. The movie is a fictional account of events surrounding the UN vote to make Israel a nation. While the exact events and persons in the film are indeed fiction, they are based on true events and people and I definitely recommend seeing it. What stuck all three of us though this time was how events repeat themselves. This film was based in 1947, but in many ways it could have been today. The politics regarding the Middle East are the same today as they were then.

Today Israel once again tried to have a cease fire, but since Israel was the only one who stopped firing, the operation against Hamas has resumed. Please realize this is an operation against Hamas, not Arabs who do not attack Israelis. Unfortunately, many Muslims are to willing to die for their cause and act as human shields, or Hamas leadership will force people to act that way because every person that is killed or wounded they can show to the world and say "hey look what bad Israel did..."
